Quinta das Carvalhas 10 Year old Port
The Quinta das Carvalhas 10 Year old Port is an outstanding aged Tawny Port and is a wonderful introduction to the category. It reveals auburn topaz reflections with a harmonious and elegant bouquet characteristic of aging in oak casks, with notes of spices, honey caramel and butterscotch. The wine is full-bodied and has a long lingering finish.
In order to enjoy this Port at its maximum splendor, it should be served at 14°C, partnering preferably with light chocolate deserts or soft cheese.

Winemaking: This port is made from old vines, being submitted to a careful ageing process in small oak casks. Over its 250-year history, Casa Burmester has perfected the classic process of blending wines and this is a magnificent example of its expertise. A 10-Year- Old Tawny Port Wine from Quevedo. The colour is light and brown with hints of orange due to the long ageing in oak cask. The nose is filled with aromas of dried fruit, cinnamon and walnuts. On the palate the nutty flavours predominate, along with a touch of coffee and chocolate. "Color light brown with hints of orange. Aroma very balanced with flavors of dried fruit, cinnamon and a certain floral note. Well defined aromas of wood, resulting from ageing in very old oak. On the palate light coffee beans.
